1. What is this LINUX?
LINUX - this is a UNIX-LIKE operating system. It's a once of example a free and open source software. First Linux kernel and Operating System Kernel was released in 5 October 1991 by Linus Torvalds. The development of Linux is one of the most prominent examples of free and open source software collaboration: the underlying source code may be used, modified, and distributed—commercially or non-commercially—by anyone under licenses such as the GNU General Public License.
2. History of LINUX
The history of LINUX was started at 1991, when a programmer created a free Operating System for i386 and i486. However Linus created only kernel, but a full operating system need's still a system shell, compiler, libraries etc. The most important thinks, was a integrated the system to the distribution, that the people can quickly and fast install the Linux on Hard Disc's.
The first full Linux was a Slackware Linux, witch was published in 16 July 1993, and a month later was published a Debian.
